In my work as a therapist, I help create space for clients to connect with their authentic selves and explore parts of themselves that they've previously discarded. I meet clients with an emphasis on a safe, affirming therapeutic relationship as a place to begin healing.
I work from a framework that explores the ways in which early experiences can shape current patterns of relating with oneself and others.
My background includes working with LGBTQIA+ people, whether or not their identities are central to the reasons they seek therapy. I particularly enjoy working with clients as they explore new expressions of gender or sexuality.
I'm kink- and poly-aware and affirming, and I work with individuals or partners of all identities who seek to heal, understand, and improve their relationship with sex.
I work frequently with trauma and the different ways that it can show up in clients' day-to-day lives. My work is guided by the understanding that many clients' difficulties are impacted by systems of oppression such as racism, transphobia, homophobia, and gender discrimination.
I identify as a queer, white, cisgender woman.
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Certified (LCSW-C) and am licensed in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.
I earned my Masters of Social Work from Smith College School for Social Work in 2019. I'm an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist and have received post-graduate training in sex therapy through the University of Michigan Sex Therapy Certificate Program.
